A neighborhood mutual-aid pod used a shared, owned record of needs and offers. Volunteers opted in; no silent scrape of private chats into a distant model.

What improved was not the volume of posts, but the ability to revisit decisions: who offered rides, who needed meals, which asks were closed with thanks.

Commons tooling exists to support mutual care with situational awareness that remains human-scaled and voluntary.
